Coach Livi started her fitness journey at nine-years-old when she joined her local YMCA swim team in New Canaan, CT. By her Sophomore year of high school, she qualified for State, Regional and National level championships. In 2011, she continued to swim D1 at Iona College, where she was first introduced to weight lifting as part of her team’s training program.
The benefits of which were clear when she placed top 16 at the MAAC Championships in the 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke & 200 Backstroke for two consecutive years. After graduating in 2015, swimming and hitting the gym on her own just wasn’t cutting it. It didn’t allow her to work that competitive edge that she had throughout her life long swimming career. Luckily, in the Fall of 2016, she discovered Cross Training and no longer felt like there was something missing within her level of fitness and athleticism.
Eventually, she went on to receive her CF-L1 in August, 2017. In addition to working hard and having fun at CFO, Livi is a big fan of running half marathons, participating in Tough Mudder/Spartan/GoRuck challenges and regularly trying out new sports. She has loved every second of Cross Training training and coaching thus far, and the rest of her fitness journey is history in the making!
