Thankful & Turkey-Full: By Coach Hunter Lydon

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m sure that you’re all as excited as me for this holiday season: cozy sweaters, delicious meals, and reuniting with friends and family. For many of us, Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on the goals you set at the start of the year and to realize the many blessings we have all received.

At my dinner table, probably same as yours, we all say something that we’re thankful for before diving into the turkey and gravy. Since you all are a part of our family here at BK Fit, I’d like to know what YOU all are thankful for too! Don’t worry, though, I’ll start.

In 2018, one of the things I am truly thankful for has been the opportunity to work at BK Fit Studios and coach so many of you each week. I know, I know, you’re probably saying to yourself “Oh, he’s just saying that because this is the BK Fit Studios Weekly Blog!” but, oh boy, do I mean it. I have made so many friends that I never would have met otherwise, had so many laughs with you, and seen you all achieve incredible things! How lucky am I to be a part of your lives in a small way, every morning? I’ve seen some of you get your first muscle-ups, double-unders, and push-ups. I’ve seen you push through an intense workout on the brink of tears, and come out smiling ear-to-ear at the end of it! And when any of you take the time to thank me for my tips or encouragement, I can’t tell you how much it warms my lil’ heart.

Okay, I should be thankful for something not Cross Training related, I suppose. Well, this year I also had the opportunity to travel more than ever before. I did a solo-trip through five countries in Europe, worked on a TV series on Martha’s Vineyard, and got to visit my oldest friend up in Lake George (surprise, I went Cross Training in each of those places).

So… what are YOU thankful for this year? What obstacles have you overcome? What goals have you accomplished?

Tell me, I’d love to know.
